We focused on developing characters that would thrive in this vast universe. For us, it’s important to craft authentic stories and characters that depict levels of strength, aptitude and swagger. Telling a successful family legacy story was key. We value family connections, especially strong bonds between fathers and sons. The Calloways demonstrate family unity for generations, and Hassan’s character was inspired by a singular thought of honor. How would he handle Earthfall in a way that keeps his family’s legacy in tact? Hassan’s command, resourcefulness and innovations are characteristics that permeate throughout the story, all of which he learned from his father Ramon. The Calloways show ‘what happens when you’re proud of who you are.’ It also doesn’t hurt that Hassan has dope ass drip, cool cars and is the best weapons designer known to man! We hope to continue to see evolving characters and stories in the Shrapnel universe.
